Families are integral members of the educational team of a child who is deafblind. They need to understand the various types educational services that can be provided to their child and how they function. CBSS can provide families with knowledge and skill to increase their parental involvement in educational and transitional opportunities.

CHARGE Syndrome Family Liaison
CBSS collaborates with the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation to provide support to families of children with CHARGE Syndrome, one of the leading causes of “deafblindness”. The family liaison promotes connections among the CHARGE families in the state.
