    • This special session will offer the opportunity for us to meet with select board members from NFADB and discuss current legislation challenges.
    • We will provide you with an update of the HR 3535 proposed federal legislation and then discuss how we can advocate for a medicaid waiver that will support our families with special services for our deaf-blind children.
    • Did you know that the state of Texas has a deaf-blind Medicaid waiver that supports intervener services at home? Could we advocate and obtain the same legislation for Maryland and Washington, DC? 2016 Family Learning Weekend
Summary & Photo Album

2016 09 FLW Donna Riccobono and Cheri Dowling

Feedback fromFLW16 participant, Dave Gardner: “I know, and have great respect for, Cheri Dowling. While I have never met Donna Riccobono in person, I have had many conversations with her about about serving the blind and deaf communities. For them to share the dais is an indicator of an outstanding program.”
